How to replace the High Speed Mixer blades

High Speed Mixer Blade Replacement Method

The blades of a high speed mixer are core wear parts. Regular replacement effectively ensures the mixing efficiency and product quality of the equipment. Replacing blades is a task requiring careful operation. The specific process mainly includes the following four key steps:

1. Shutdown and Power Disconnection & Internal Cleaning and Evacuation
Before starting the replacement operation, ensure that the equipment is completely stopped and the main power supply is completely disconnected. Hang a "Do Not Power On" safety warning sign at the control cabinet. Then, open the discharge door and completely empty the material in the mixing chamber. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the residual dust and debris in the chamber, ensuring a clear operating view and preventing foreign objects from falling into the transmission components during disassembly.

2. Removing the Central Body and Taking Out the Old Agitator Blade
Use a special tool to unscrew the central body fixing part at the bottom of the mixing pot. After removing the sealing gasket, use a special slurry remover or suitable lifting tool to firmly hook the old agitator blade and vertically remove it from the main shaft. During this process, handle with care to avoid collision with the main shaft threads or damage to the surface of the sealing chamber.

3. Inspect the Sealing Components and Install New Blades
After removing the old blades, carefully inspect the wear condition of the main shaft sealing components. If aging, damage, or deformation is found, the seals must be replaced immediately to prevent powder or oil leakage in subsequent production. Once confirmed, align the new agitator blade with the main shaft keyway and smoothly install it. Tighten the center body and fixing screws according to the specified torque standard to ensure the blades are securely installed without looseness.

4. No-Load Test Run and Clearance Adjustment Verification
After replacement, manually rotate the machine a few times to confirm that the agitator blade rotates freely without jamming. Then, connect the power and start the High Speed Mixer for a short no-load test run. Carefully listen to the sound of the equipment running smoothly and check for any abnormal vibrations. Finally, stop the machine and re-verify that the clearance between the agitator blades and the mixing chamber wall meets the process requirements. Only after confirming everything is normal can production resume.
