(1) Shear Shredder
The most common type is the shear shredder. It has two cutter shafts and relies on the principle of "shearing and cutting" to complete the shredding process. Depending on the number of cutter shafts, it can be divided into dual-shaft types, etc. It features a wide processing range and stable operation, and is suitable for the coarse crushing of waste materials such as metals and plastics. The principle of this shredder is to crush objects like scissors.
(2) Roller Shredder
Figure 1 shows the structure of a roller shredder. This machine has multiple blades mounted on a rotating cutter roller, which, together with fixed blades, forms a cutting action to achieve the effect of material crushing. Single-shaft shredders are common and are suitable for crushing materials such as plastics and rubber. The structure can be equipped with an adjustment device to adapt to different materials.
